About Me
Annemarie Whitton has been a practicing clinical psychologist in Edmonton Alberta for over 17 years. She is trained in trauma informed care and draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gottman Couples Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focussed Therapy.
Annemarie believes therapy should be client-centred and culturally sensitive. She provides a safe, supportive environment where clients can lower their defences, explore challenges, and begin creating positive change.
There are times when life blindsides us with circumstances beyond our control. These challenges can bring us to a crossroads where tough decisions and transitions are required. Counselling can play a vital role in processing these experiences and moving forward. My hope is that your journey becomes clearer and more supported through therapy.
