The Serene Waters Philosophy

AnneMarie draws from a number of theoretical orientations in her work. Primarily, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy guide her practice with a foundation in Family Systems Theory. The systemic model views the problem as interactional. Blame is not placed on the individual but rather on the pattern that has developed between individuals. Counselling presents the client with specific tools to cope with the present while keeping in mind the goal of creating their preferred reality.
